Greenhouse Church is led by a team of elders. As an elder, Pastor Jared serves as senior pastor and his main responsibility is to cast vision, while the other elders work to execute the vision, encourage, counsel, and protect the church.
Pastor Jared serves as senior pastor. Jared and his wife Mandy were married in 1999 and take great joy in their five lovely children. Jared enjoys hanging out with his family, preaching, teaching, songwriting, playing rock and roll, hearing others play rock and roll, snowboarding, learning, reading, remodeling homes and on occasion, all at the same time.
In the Fall of 2002 after earning a BA in Education from KU, Jared joined a team to plant Life Church in Olathe, Kansas. Jared served nine years as a pastor in the areas of worship, youth, and college ministries. Jared’s personal mission is to reveal, demonstrate, and communicate the Kingdom of God, through leading and serving. He was ordained in the Fall of 2010 by Resurrection Life Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan and was sent to plant Greenhouse Church.
Sean handles most of the church’s organization, communication, and administrative duties. Sean married Jillian in 2007 and they love living in Lawrence with their four kids. Sean became a follower of Jesus in 2005 under Pastor Jared’s leadership and quickly realized that he wanted to spend his life studying and teaching the Scriptures. Sean is a Colorado native with a degree in philosophy who enjoys reading, anything related to music, sports, and writing about himself in the third person.
Kristina studied English at KSU, and though Kristina still loves to write, she ultimately discovered that her heart is most invested in being a disciple of Jesus who gets excited about making more disciples. As the Program Coordinator, she creates social media content, assists with the youth ministry, and gets to work on a bunch of other cool stuff. Kristina is trained in trauma advocacy and crisis intervention, and has served Northeastern Kansas as an advocate in some capacity for over 15 years. Through the church, she continues to utilize her trauma support background to care for the community. Kristina loves seeing live music, collecting forgotten antiques, and being around loved ones (preferably all at the same time). She and her husband Ben have three fun kids who just keep getting older!
